8. AUXILIARY PRODUCTS

8.1 C SOFTENER

CHARACTERISTICS: Mixture of surfactants and oils properly formuled in a aqueous-alcoholic medium. Its aspect is of yellow dun liquid with an alcohol and pine oil smell. When leather is wet and penetrated with this product, it gets softer and can be handled more easily in operations such as preparing or lasting of mocassins vamps, avoiding leather breaking.

APPLICATION FIELD: In every shoe manufacturing operation when leather hardness makes it difficult to be handled.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: C Softener must be diluted with water in a 1 to 9 or 2 to 8 proportion. That's to say, two parts of Softener with 8 parts of water. In extreme difficulty cases you will look up our Technical Department. You will wet the leather to be handled (sewn, lasted or stretched....) with the C Softener dilution. Then you will wait for 5 minutes for the effect of softening to appear and will begin to handle leather.

It is convenient to apply product in a well ventilated zone and protect your hands with proper work glasses.
