9. SOLES, EDGES AND HEELS FINISHING

9.6 TS-10 INK

CHARACTERISTICS: Mixture of acrylic copolymers properly formuled in an organic dissolution to get a high gloss when applied on edges or heels made of synthetic materials. When it is properly coloured you can get a finish with a desired colour.

APPLICATION FIELD: Generally speaking, for every edge or heel made of synthetic material, rubber, TR, etc..., when you want to get a bright and filled edge.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: It is usually used in the sole premanufacturing. After sanding the edges and heels (the smaller the sandpaper grain the better the finish aspect), several soles are grouped in a column that is holded with an hydraulic fixer in the air extraction cabin. The product is then applied with a nozzle opening of 1 to 1,5 mm., with a 2 to 4 atm. pressure and a proper distance, 20 to 30 cm. according to our experience. An advantage of this ink is that can be brushed with a fabric brush impegnated with our ABRASIVE WAX 3G at 800 to 1000 r.p.m. getting a finish similar to a polished edge. It can also be applied with a paintbrush when sole is already attached to the shoe. Most of times it is necessary to dilute 3 parts of TS-10 INK with 2 parts of TS SOLVENT approx., depending on the particular case, the same when applied with gun or paintbrush.

It is important to have a good application cabin equipped with an extractor fan, water screen and light for the application to be rightly done. It is convenient to use protecting mask.
